  • 0. The Fool

    The Fool represents our inner child, innocent and open to adventure. He is unaware, thus unafraid of the challenges he may face on the journey ahead of him.

  • I. The Magician

    The Fool first encounters the Magician, who represents dynamic masculine energy, resourcefulness, and harnessing ones spiritual, mental, and physical abilities to manifest and materialize tangible things in the real world.

  • II. The High Priestess

    The Fool then encounters the Magician’s counterpart, the High Priestess. She represents divine feminine energy, intuition, and mystery. She harnesses the powerful and intangible forces of magic.

  • III. The Empress

    The Empress is a maternal figure and the earthly counterpart of the High Priestess. She represents the loving, generous, provider who nurtures all.

  • IV. The Empreror

    The Emperor is paternal figure. He instills knowledge and responsibility on the Fool, helping shape his morals and boundaries through structure and authority.

    As the Fool leaves home and explores the world, he encounters the Hierophant, who represents structured education and traditional religion. He is finding his place in society and defining his beliefs.

    Learning the ways of the world, the Fool begins to relate to others and realizes the power of choice. The Lovers represent the desire for a deeper, closer connection and union with another person.

    The Chariot represents embarking on a long journey, which requires preparation and endurance. It also requires a sense of direction and control to overcome any obstacles that may appear along the way.

    From the experiences and challenges of life, the Fool gains courage and Strength. This card represents both physical and mental strength to keep going, as well as control of the temper through patience and tolerance.

  • IX. The Hermit

    After gaining experience and knowledge in the outside world, the Fool turns inward to reflect in solitude as the Hermit. He emerges with a new sense of purpose and direction.

  • X. Wheel of Fortune

    Through reflection, he learns the nature of the Wheel of Fortune, seeing life as a series of cycles and patterns, a balance of fate and choice, destiny and karma.

  • XI. Justice

    Now more aware of cause and effect, the Fool learns about integrity, accountability and responsibility, the essence of Justice and law.

  • XII. The Hanged Man

    The Fool learns that Justice and fairness isn’t always black and white. He finds himself like the Hanged Man, suspended in the air, conflicted and unable to decide in certain situations, almost like his world has been turned upside down.

  • XIII. Death

    The Death card represents the process of laying old habits and ideas to rest. Ending any aspects of yourself you’ve outgrown and leaving them behind for good.

  • XIV. Temperance

    The Fool emerges reborn, with a new understanding embodied in the Temperance card. She represents composure, balance, sustainability, and harmony.

  • XV. The Devil

    With a new sense of awareness and purpose comes new temptations. The Devil represents the subliminal urges that can manifest as attachment, addiction, or abuse. Our shadow selves.

  • XVI. The Tower

    The Tower represents a sudden, impactful change or intervention that shake our core and humble us. This drastic, sudden change results in a revelation and new sense of freedom for the Fool.

  • XVII. The Star

    After the darkness of disaster, the Star represents a sense of hope and renewal. The Fool is feeling illuminated and inspired, restored and radiant. Like a serene calm at the end of a long day.

  • XVIII. The Moon

    Night falls and the Moon illuminates the dark sky, representing the subconscious and mysterious. The Moon represents the ebb and flow of energy and emotions. The tides are ever changing.

  • XIX. The Sun

    The Sun represents clarity, and enlightenment. The promise that light will always return after darkness. The Fool is free from the darkness of confusion and fear and is shining bright with energy and enthusiasm. He knows the future is bright.

  • XX. Judgement

    It’s a new day. The Fool has been reborn and knows himself and his purpose. This what I’ve done, this is who I am. He and his ancestors are pleased. The Judgment card represents that revelation.

  • XXI. The World

    The World card represents the successful completion of the Fool’s Journey. He’s been around the world and is prepared for another go round.
